CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

28th & 29th September 2009, Mental Health & the Issues Facing Society : Rehabilitation, Social Involvement and Professionnal Integration - Luxembourg (Mersch).

The call is open to all relevant fields of Social Psychiatry in the following context: What ways of promoting social inclusion (integration and participation) are available to people with mental illnesses? Why do we need them? How should they be implemented? What is effective?

The symposium will focus on the current state of research, practices that prevent social exclusion, and the rehabilitation, reintegration and social participation of individuals suffering with a mental illness. The International Conference on Social Psychiatry in Luxembourg will bring together researchers, practitioners, political experts and people from various other disciplines (medicine, psychology, social work etc).

In keeping with the interdisciplinary dialogue expected at the symposium we invite researchers from the fields of medicine, humanities and social sciences, and other disciplines, but also healthcare professionals and social workers, and representatives from industry.
